Snowboarding

Snowboarding has developed massively from its lowly beginnings as the bastard child of a three way love triangle involving skating, surfing and skiing. These roots are relevant today in the division in equipment and mind set between the Freeride and Freestyle. Freeriding is more akin to surfing, reaching its ideal state in fresh snow deep in the back country. Freestyle is the technical side of the sport based on tricks performed in jumps, rails and in parks. The division is increasingly blurred nowadays though with riders aspiring to technical moves in all environments and conditions. Now a multi-million dollar industry and an Olympic sport snowboarding retains its original appeal - its all about you, your kit and the mountain.

Paragliding

Paragliding is the ultimate sport of flying though the air with  the help of a bi-directional parachute. Whether you do it on your own, or go tandem, you are going to have to run off a cliff. The adrenalin, and fear that hits you gently fades away when your wing picks you up and you glide off into space. Negotiate the landing pad is next, and then land; it couldn't be easier.

Mountaineering

Ice Climbing

Climbing ice is hardcore, but very rewarding. As waterfalls and meltwater freeze into beautiful stalactites of ice it becomes possile to scale them using crampons and a pair of ice axes. It's fantastic sport in a beautiful environment. Training and the correct equipment are of course essential. We offer an introduction to ice climbing course in Chamonix and several opportunities and destrinations for the more experienced climber.

Skiing

Skiing is the activity of sliding over snow using skis (originally wooden now usually made from fibreglass composites) strapped to the feet with ski bindings. Originally used primarily for transportation, skiing evolved into a popular recreational and competitive activity during the 20th century.
